Follow the Bubbles to Jefferson Memorial Park

Ok, we're half-kidding about the bubbles. But you can bring them, and you won't miss all the festive color, artists and greeters bursting to and fro from this Northwest Side fun spot. It's really easy to get to Jefferson Memorial Park. You can walk, wheel, train or take a car there.

Address: Jefferson Memorial Park 4822 N. Long Ave. Chicago, IL 60630
For a Google Map click here.

Directions_Jefferson_memorial_Park_Not-everywhere.jpgAccessible by sidewalk, bike, vehicle (carpooling recommended) or public transportation. We suggest getting off at the Jefferson Park Blue Line Stop (CTA) or the Jefferson Park Transit Center (Metra). Taking the #56 Milwaukee bus or #81 Lawrence bus is another option.

More tips & tricks? Visit www.choosechicago.com, especially if coming from out-of-town.

You can enter from many corners, but we recommend on the Northeast or Southeast corners. Feel free to donate to (or high five) a greeter wearing a Pink shirt. Volunteers are there to help you!

Driving: From I-90W, take exit 84 for Lawrence Ave. Make a slight left onto Lawrence, then it's about a half mile to the park. From I-90E, take exit 54 for Lawrence Ave. Make a right onto Lawrence, then go about a quarter mile to the park. Metered street parking is available around the park.

Jefferson Park rests between Long, Higgens, Linder & Lawrence Avenues in the heart of the community and swarms with activity year-round. FIGMENT Chicago will be "taking over" most of the grounds for the weekend (maybe you can sneak in a tennis game). But feel free to return to enjoy more outdoor recreation at this seven-acre green jewel in JP, featuring: two baseball fields, one combination football/soccer field, three tennis courts, one playground and a water spray feature and an outdoor swimming pool with dressing facility.

Many thanks to the 45th Ward and the Chicago Park District for welcoming FIGMENT!
